Step 01

Before you Begin

New students receive a free 30-minute diagnostic test before their first tuition class to assess their current maths proficiencies and deficiencies. A personalised learning plan is then developed based on these results.

Step 02

What should I expect when attending a group tuition class or 1 to 1 tuition session for years 11 and 12?

Each group lesson is 90 minutes, 30 minutes of personalised learning and 60 minutes of accelerated learning to develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Students are given an individualised learning plan by their teacher based on their original diagnostic tests. In the first 30 minutes, students can ask for and receive help on any of their school based or tuition work.

New students are expected to arrive 30 minutes before their first tuition session time for the diagnostic test. This is free and critical to assessing the students baseline understanding and learning needs.

In the last hour, students are accelerated in an interactive workshop based on year level topics that are designed to encourage questioning and problem solving. Students are given a homework plan at the end of each lesson based on their understanding of the topic.

The 1 to 1 tuition sessions are for 60 minutes a session. They are only available for years 11 & 12 and must be booked by calling Grade A Tuition on 7077 0301

Step 03

Are parents kept up to date with the regular progress of their children?

Yes. Students are assigned weekly homework tasks and feedback relating to their level of mastery of the content. This individualised learning program is an ongoing development program and plan. Parents are also free to discuss any element of their child’s learning progress with the tutor after the session or during the week.
